Job Summary
Conduct complex actuarial work with minimal supervision, delivering high-quality findings and recommendations to peers, leaders, and stakeholders. Apply advanced critical thinking to identify issues, assess risk, and drive solutions while taking full ownership of projects from planning through completion. Provide guidance to project teams and support junior analysts through coaching and knowledge sharing. Requires Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, or related field, plus successful completion of four ASA exams and five years of healthcare actuarial experience. Salary ranges from $61.09 to $149.77 depending on location.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Social Science, Finance, or a related field
- Successful completion of 4+ exams of the Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA)
- 5 years healthcare actuarial/analytics experience
- Experience with writing queries in SQL or another programming language
- Demonstrated experience applying project management skills in data-related and financial analysis projects
- Experience working for a large health care provider or plan
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Social Science, Finance, or a related field
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)
- Experience with Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid revenue methodologies
- Experience with APMs and Value-Based Care contracts
