Job Summary
Conduct advanced actuarial and statistical analysis for specialty business products including dental, vision, and supplemental health. Update pricing and forecasting models while refining data collection to ensure accuracy. Support regulatory filings, new product pricing, and special projects under limited supervision. Mentor analysts on the team to advance their technical skills. Requires a BA/BS degree with four years of related experience and an ASA from the Society of Actuaries. Salary ranges from $126,720 to $207,360. In-office presence required one to two days per week.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree
- minimum of 4 years related experience
- ASA required from the Society of Actuaries (SOA)
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced MS Excel experience (i.e. data modeling, complex functions, pivot tables, and creating dashboards for data visualization purposes)
- Ability to write and optimize complex queries to ensure data integrity and reliability when cleaning, manipulating, and analyzing large datasets using SQL, SAS, or other data tools
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Commercial health, dental, vision, or supplemental health experience
