Job Summary
Prepare and analyze financial information to support management decision-making by working alongside the core Accounting team to produce income, balance sheet, and consolidated statements. Perform general ledger reconciliations for key accounts, execute daily banking activities including Positive Pay administration and check exception processing, and prepare journal entries ensuring compliance with GAAP and company standards. Partner with internal departments and external banking partners to resolve cash management and accounting process issues, while assisting with remote check deposit processing and special studies to improve standard operating procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or related accounting support functions, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) regulations
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and interact effectively with management, employees and auditors
- Must have the ability to convey financial information to non-financial users
- Ability to work independently and meet stringent deadlines
- Organizational ability to collect, analyze, and summarize data and to prepare clear and concise reports
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Bachelor's degree in related field a plus
