Job Summary
Conduct investment underwriting by assisting with financial modeling, preparing investment committee materials, and performing industry research to support decision-making. Monitor portfolio companies, develop valuation analyses, and aid the deal team in tracking the active investment pipeline. Prepare for weekly team meetings, market material preparation, and business development tracking. This role requires 3-4 years of experience in private credit or commercial lending, strong financial modeling skills, and a Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting. Based in Dallas, Texas, the position is full-time with a competitive salary. Capital Southwest partners with private equity sponsors to provide flexible capital solutions for lower middle market acquisitions and growth initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Up to 3-4 years of experience in private credit, commercial lending, investment banking, or related investment professional roles
- Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities, including experience and aptitude in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of corporate finance, accounting, and valuation methodologies
- Ability to operate with autonomy and accountability in a small, execution-focused team
- Strong communication skills including writing/composition, oral, and listening skills
- Must possess a good attitude, be dedicated, have initiative and motivation, attention to detail, teamwork, professionalism, and a developing interest in credit investing
- Be a team player and affable
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field
