Job Summary
Conduct building operation energy performance simulations using industry-standard and proprietary modeling software. Transform construction drawings, specifications, field-notes, and photographs into 3-D models of existing buildings. Analyze complex building science to understand the performance of components including HVAC, electrical, and building envelope systems. Actively participate in daily project discussions and meetings to review content and meet deadlines. Develop and improve current business practices and proprietary software by providing expert feedback across teams. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding secure facility data. This role supports Alliant Group's Energy Services division, helping clients claim tax incentives for energy-efficient designs in large commercial buildings.
Required Qualifications
- Architectural or Engineering degree
- Knowledge in Building Energy Modeling or MEP Engineering
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in HVAC design
- Proficiency with eQuest / Design Builder / CAD software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving, research and analytical skills
