Job Summary
Assist the Nurse Manager in evaluating staff, developing unit standards of care, and monitoring provider competencies. Actively coach and develop staff by demonstrating effective communication and problem-solving techniques while providing direct patient care. Manage resource allocation to ensure equitable work distribution and match provider competency to patient needs. Collaborate with the CNS/Educator to maintain continuity of care and resolve operational, budgetary, and personnel issues. Participate in developing patient care protocols, guidelines, and strategic initiatives within a fast-paced environment requiring critical thinking and decisive judgment. Requires a Bachelor's in Nursing, RN licensure, and three years of clinical experience in critical care, surgery, OR, ED, or women and infants.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Nursing
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- 3 years of experience in all or at least 1 related clinical areas: Critical Care, Pre/Post Surgery, Operating Room, Emergency Department, and/or Women and Infants
