Job Summary
Plan, coordinate, and execute all external SEC financial reporting processes, including annual, quarterly, and periodic reports (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K), while assisting with the proxy statement. Research and document technical accounting conclusions for new standards and complex issues. Lead SOX 404(b) compliance efforts by designing internal controls, monitoring performance, and managing remediation for identified exceptions. Coordinate directly with outsourced internal auditors and external auditors to facilitate quarterly reviews and year-end procedures. Provide guidance and training to control owners on SOX and accounting matters. Complete special projects and assist with monthly accounting close duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent
- 10+ years of accounting experience
- CPA designation
- Experience working in a SOX 404(b) compliant environment
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively share information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong learning orientation, curiosity, and commitment to science and patients
Desired Qualifications
