Assistive Technology Trainer

Job Summary
Oversee training for students from the Texas Workforce Commission, the Veterans Administration, private pay clients, and internal employees by assessing, teaching, and reporting progress in accordance with TWC and VA guidelines. Demonstrate knowledge of teaching best practices, interpret field theories, and employ instructional technology such as JAWS and magnification to maximize student learning outcomes. Develop and update course materials, maintain accurate records of student progress, and submit reports to the Rehabilitation Services Manager and payors. Substitute for instructors as needed, serve on program committees, and contribute to curriculum development while maintaining confidentiality and responding to information requests from stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- A degree in an educational related field
- Certificated in a specialized subject
- A certificate in education
- Proven experience as a teacher
- Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices
- Knowledge of legal educational guidelines
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
- Proficient knowledge of JAWS
- Proficient knowledge of Magic
- Proficient knowledge of Fusion
- Proficient knowledge of Zoom Text & Voiceover
- Current TWC Certification
