Job Summary
Assistive Technology refurbishment Specialist Part Time at Independence First in Milwaukee, WI. Responsibilities include outreach to promote AT reuse and repair programs, intake, storage, repair, re-purposing and delivery of assistive technology equipment, coordinating with management to improve reach of programming, completing vendor and billing documentation, supervising vendors, ensuring safety, responding to requests and diagnosing actions, obtaining quotes from third-party vendors, handling health and safety issues, maintaining storage order, assisting in staff training, and participating in team meetings. Requires basic computer skills; experience with mobility device repair/refurbishment and knowledge of safety regulations preferred. Expected schedule up to 28 hours/week, Monday–Friday with some evenings/weekends voluntary, in-office environment in Milwaukee; travel to pick up supplies or equipment is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must have basic computer skills
- Experience with mobility device repair and refurbishment preferred
- Knowledge of safety regulations and safety equipment
- Excellent communication skills with management, staff, vendors and community
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Travel as job necessitates preferred
