Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' needs, functional limitations, and mobility goals based on therapist assessment findings and physician orders. Actively collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, clients, and caregivers to develop individualized plans of care. Recommend appropriate Complex Rehabilitation Technology equipment and manage procurement processes from specification through delivery. Deliver and fit equipment, providing thorough training and education on operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Complete accurate documentation of client interactions and maintain eligibility with vendor systems. Attain and apply clinical skills to analyze complex mobility issues while consistently reviewing sales outcomes to meet annual objectives. Maintain certifications, licenses, and continuing education to assure no lapse in coverage. Provide excellent customer service for internal and external clients, resolving concerns and focusing on service as a top priority.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Valid Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) certification
- Demonstrate critical thinking, interpersonal and problem-solving skills required to generate appropriate, individualized recommendations for CRT equipment and interventions
- Working knowledge of compliant billing processes for rehab/assistive technology equipment as necessary (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, etc.)
- Must have valid Drivers License
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs as needed
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year experience working with complex rehabilitation technology
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, responsibilities and projects independently and effectively
- Previous experience in selling DME equipment
- Extensive knowledge of various clinical conditions impacting mobility, such as spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, and stroke
- Comprehensive understanding of rehabilitation equipment, including power wheelchairs, manual wheelchairs, seating systems, adaptive controls, and other assistive devices
- Ability to perform thorough and competent seating/mobility, assistive technology, and rehab equipment evaluations
