Assistive Tech Specialist

Job Summary
Assistive Tech Specialist supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by helping them access technology and services to meet personal goals within a three-year plan. Responsibilities include collaborating with the Charles Lee Center Coordinator and families to write yearly milestones, creating a Virtual Community Resource Map (VCRM) of jobs, housing, transportation, outings, and community resources, teaching clients to use technology for the VCRM, facilitating travel training, building social capital, supporting communication at home and work, connecting to benefit advisement and vocational rehabilitation resources, coordinating with the DDA Technology Champion and vendors to enable access to assistive technology, and maintaining timely progress notes, meetings, and compliance with agency policies. The role requires travel to individuals monthly, engagement via virtual/phone/text throughout the month, and adherence to safety and privacy standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experienced user of technology
- Ability to multi-task efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid Tennessee Driver’s License with an F endorsement and clean driving history
- Must maintain liability and auto insurance
- CPR and/or First Aid Certification and compliance with DDA and agency training requirements
