Coordinate and plan logistics operations, including demand forecasting, route planning, and vehicle optimization to reduce costs and improve service levels. Manage inventory levels and storage space to meet demand while minimizing handling time. Supervise operational teams, including warehouse operators and drivers, delegating tasks, providing training, and ensuring safety compliance. Monitor key performance indicators using Business Intelligence tools to track delivery times, costs, and service efficiency. Evaluate processes to identify improvement opportunities and implement changes based on Lean or Six Sigma methodologies. Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and quality regulations while promoting sustainable practices. Collaborate with sales, production, and IT departments to align logistics with organizational needs. Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, developing contingency plans to ensure operational continuity.
