Job Summary
Assist seniors with activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, personal hygiene, and mobility device transfers. Provide instrumental support such as housekeeping tasks, laundry, meal preparation, and dining room assistance. Monitor medication supplies, conduct resident rounds, and report changes in physical or cognitive status to the Director of AL or Wellness Nurse. Escort residents to activities and maintain environmental safety by checking rooms and documenting incidents. Work flexible full-time hours Monday through Friday and alternate weekends, with potential long hours or on-campus duty during emergencies. Requires high school diploma, CPR certification, and experience in healthcare or home care settings.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills
- Previous experience in a healthcare or home care setting
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment)
- Experience in providing assistance with ADL's
- Knowledge of Health Maintenance and Monitoring Tasks
- Must be able to think, act and intervene independently in both routine and emergency situations
- Must be self-motivated and function as an 'in charge person'
- Plans and completes duties with minimal direction from supervisor
- Works collaboratively with peers and other team members
- Uses tactful, diplomatic communication techniques at all times
- Acts as ambassador and public relations representative to guests and other off-campus visitors
- Must be able to work flexible hours and participate in holiday activities
- May require working long hours or hours outside of the normal work week
- MAY BE DESIGNATED ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL IN THE EVENT OF EMERGENCY SITUATIONS, INCLUDING HURRICANES, EVACUATION, FIRE, FLOOD, ETC., AND BE REQUIRED TO REMAIN ON CAMPUS FOR THE DURATION OF THE EMERGENCY
