Job Summary
Assist in delivering high-quality care to aging residents in an Assisted Living Community in Washington, DC. Responsibilities include helping with residents’ care needs, maintaining confidentiality, notifying nursing staff of changes, assisting in dining/meal service, helping residents participate in activities, transporting residents to appointments, recognizing changes in condition, taking vitals and weights, assisting with lifting up to 40 pounds, maintaining First Aid/CPR readiness, and attending scheduled in-services. Required qualifications include a DC-certified CNA or DC Home Health Aide license, a high school degree, CPR/First Aid certification, and health-related documentation (TB testing and physical). Evening (3:30 PM–11 PM) and overnight (11 PM–7:30 AM) shifts are available; position can be part-time or full-time. Strong English communication, patient-centered approach, and ability to work collaboratively with a care team are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree
- Current CNA or Home Health Certification from Washington DC
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification
- Health Certificate, including TB test and Physical
