Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and incontinence care while ensuring dignity and comfort. Provide emotional support and companionship, monitor residents and document changes in conditions. Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and hazard-free living environment. Candidates should have experience in senior care, preferably as a caregiver in senior facilities, and hold a high school diploma or GED.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift and/or move various body weight frequently
- Minimum experience with senior care including private care or one-on-one
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Must undergo a Physical exam and Tuberculosis Screening, resulting in a negative TB diagnosis prior to employment
- Must obtain clearance or exemption approval from the Department of Social Services following FBI and DOJ livescan background check prior to employment
- Must read, understand and sign the Report of Suspected Physical Abuse of a Dependent Elder (SOC341A)
