Job Summary
Deliver personal care to residents according to facility policies, quality improvement guidelines, and local, state, and federal regulations. Assist with food preparation and serving, pick up clutter, remove trash, clean spills, and transport residents within assigned households. Participate in resident-centered care by engaging residents in normal life pursuits and attending household meetings or learning circles. Maintain living and work areas clean and orderly while respecting all people and possessions. Perform tasks as necessary to maintain life on the household, including fulfilling simple requests for residents.
Required Qualifications
- Freedom from illegal use of drugs
- Freedom from use and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace
- Must be able to speak, read & write the English language in an understandable manner
- Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately
- One year experience working with the elderly preferred
