Assistant Womens Basketball Coach

Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Lane College (Athletics) leads and supports the program under NCAA, SIAC, and departmental policies. Responsibilities include recruiting student-athletes and submitting their academic records for admission; creating and instructing strategies for the team; developing offensive and defensive game plans; demonstrating techniques and assigning player positions; coordinating pre/post-workout activities; assisting in the designation and recruitment of scholarship athletes; planning and scheduling coaching sessions; assessing player strengths and training accordingly; supervising equipment purchases and travel coordination; promoting athletic programs through community events, fundraising, and public speaking; monitoring academic progress of players; maintaining discipline and conduct standards; recruiting and retaining student-athletes; and performing other related duties. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 3 years coaching experience (NCAA collegiate level preferred), ability to undertake overnight travel (50%+), and adherence to NCAA rules and regulations.
