Job Summary
Assistant Women's Ice Hockey Coach (Part-Time) directs and organizes all aspects and responsibilities of an assistant coach per the Alvernia University Coaches Manual, supports recruitment and retention of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes, may substitute for head coach in their absence, ensures compliance with NCAA Division III and MAC rules, completes the NCAA Division III Recruiting Test, promotes Franciscan ideals, attends mandatory meetings, and contributes to overall program success; requires a Bachelor’s degree, coaching/playing experience (preferably collegiate), knowledge of NCAA DIII rules, CPR certification, and availability to work nights and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Prior coaching and/or playing experience (preferably at the collegiate level)
- Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules
- CPR Certification required
- Commitment to the mission, core values, and goals of Alvernia University
- Ability to work nights and weekends
