Assistant Women's Basketball Coach

Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Roanoke College, a 10-month benefitted position reporting to the Director of Athletics and Head Women’s Basketball Coach. Assists in all facets of the Women’s Basketball program, including coaching technique and tactics, development of student-athletes, and recruitment. Duties include individual/small group/team skills training and tactical coaching, supporting academic success and counseling for student-athletes, facilitating access to on-campus support services, promoting personal growth, executing community relations to promote the program and its student-athletes, and assisting with recruiting qualified student-athletes. Requires strong written and oral communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, knowledge of NCAA and ODAC rules, ability to plan and organize projects, maintain confidential information, and willingness to travel and work evenings and weekends.
