Job Summary
Supervise Wilderness Cabin Leaders and oversee the summer camp program under the direction of the Wilderness Program Director, ensuring the safety and spiritual welfare of campers and staff. Attend and participate in camp activities, enforce safety regulations, and maintain camp cleanliness. Collaborate with program staff to plan and coordinate daily schedules and activities. Leadership skills, prior camp experience, and current First Aid and CPR certification are important for this role.
Required Qualifications
- Positive attitude and ability to take a leadership role.
- 21+ years of age preferred.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (may be obtained on site).
- Maintain a high standard of personal and communal living and behaviors.
- Supportive of The Salvation Army’s mission.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience and previous knowledge of camp activities.
- Ability to use positive behavior management techniques with campers.
- Ability to adapt to difficult situations with a sense of maturity and safety.
- Ability to live and thrive in an outdoor, wilderness education setting.
