Job Summary
Assist the salon manager with recruiting and orienting staff, achieving sales goals and other performance criteria by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to sales staff; scheduling and assigning employees; monitoring labor, cost of sales, and expenses; maintaining salon cleanliness and organization; building rapport with customers to foster loyalty; creating a positive, motivating team environment; addressing customer concerns professionally; analyzing daily sales and expenses to maximize net profits; handling banking requirements. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, proven retail/customer service and supervisory experience, and strong communication skills. Must be able to stand for 7+ hours, lift 25 pounds, and have reliable transportation with flexible availability, including nights and weekends. Compensation ranges from $13.00 to $18.00+ per hour (base pay + commission + monthly bonus) with opportunities for advancement, benefits (health/dental/vision, 401K with match, PTO), and employee discounts.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One-year supervisory experience
- Proven experience in retail/customer service environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to stand, bend, and walk for long periods, for 7+ hours per day
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance
- Reliable transportation, flexible availability, including nights and weekends
