Job Summary
Assist the Warehouse Manager in maintaining safe and efficient operations of receiving, delivering, and storing supplies and inventory. Perform daily tasks including verifying purchase orders, stocking products, and managing work orders while ensuring safe workflow in the atrium and warehouse spaces. Operate equipment such as vehicles, hand tools, and power equipment, and conduct daily safety checks, housekeeping, and traffic management. Handle emergency and non-emergency work as assigned, including snow removal and flood protection, while identifying and reporting hazards. Collaborate with staff and contractors to support public educational activities and update Standard Operating Procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in warehouse, inventorying and/or stocking
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. Driver's License
- Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather
- Stand, sit, and squat for long periods of time
- Perform repetitive movements
- Push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 30, certifications, higher education, and/or trainings on relevant skills
- Certifications of relevant equipment, i.e., forklifts
- FDNY Certificate of Fitness S94
- Experience with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks
- Experience working in public settings and knowledge of sustainability practices
