Job Summary
Assist in coaching volleyball for Granville County Public Schools, support cheerleading as part of the program, and help implement athletic policies. Responsibilities include teaching established coaching philosophy and techniques, attending clinics, maintaining discipline, coordinating transportation, preparing for practices and games, ensuring athletes' academic performance and conduct, supervising athletes in authorized areas, maintaining facility cleanliness, and fostering good public relations with parents, officials, volunteers, and fans. Requires effective communication with students, staff, parents, and the community, and the ability to obtain or hold a commercial driver's license with P and S endorsements to drive a school bus. Compliance with applicable policies and codes is expected, with duties performed under the head coach, school principal, and athletic director. Required Qualifications
- Must possess or be able to obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL) with P and S endorsements
- Must possess administrative and organizational skills and knowledge of Granville County Public Schools athletic policy and procedure, plus familiarity with the North Carolina Administrative Code and Statutes
- Previous successful coaching experience in the assigned sport is preferred but not required
