Assistant Volleyball Coach

Job Summary
Assistant Volleyball Coach responsibilities include teaching established philosophy, skills, and techniques under the head coach; enforcing discipline and safeguarding student-athletes; assisting with transportation, practice and game preparations, and facility maintenance; promoting positive public relations with parents and officials; and ensuring compliance with school policies, state/conference regulations, and administrative channels. Requires strong administrative and organizational skills, effective communication with students, staff, and family, and the ability to obtain a CDL with P and S endorsements to drive a school bus. Experience in coaching and knowledge of athletic policy are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Coaching experience in the assigned sport preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, and community
- Must possess or be able to obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL) with P and S endorsements and drive a school bus
- Knowledge of Granville County Public Schools athletic policy and procedure
- Familiarity with North Carolina Administrative Code and Statutes
- Administrative and organizational skills
- Ability to attend clinics as required
- Ability to enforce discipline and manage student-athlete conduct
- Ability to assist with transportation planning and facility scheduling
- Experience with monitoring student academics and conduct
