Job Summary
Assign, review, and monitor credit ratings for sovereign governments, supranational institutions, and government-related entities while formulating rating opinions and producing topical research. Participate in developing rating methodologies and maintain analytical tools for internal and external use. Track institutional, political, geopolitical, and economic developments impacting public sector issuers. Meet with issuers, investors, and market participants to discuss Morningstar DBRS ratings and research. This role supports the Global Sovereign Ratings Group, one of the top four credit rating agencies globally.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Political Science, or a related field
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in sovereign, supranational, or other public sector credit analysis
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent written communication skills
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Ability to identify and assess emerging credit risks
- Based in Frankfurt or Madrid

- Additional language skills, particularly Spanish, Italian, or French
