Assistant Vice President, Loan Operations

Job Summary
Lead loan closing execution, portfolio servicing, and cash reconciliation activities for agented and non-agented loans. Prepare system input documents, coordinate closing deliverables, process advances and wires, and perform daily cash reconciliations. Maintain high-quality portfolio data in Wall Street Office, prepare client invoices, and ensure accurate transaction booking across the platform. Assess workflows to improve efficiency, train team members on transaction protocols, and manage stakeholder inquiries regarding balances, fees, and audits. Proactively identify operational concerns and escalate loan performance issues to support portfolio management needs. This hybrid role requires 3-4 days per week in the Chicago office.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7+ years of relevant accounting, loan operations, or financial services operations experience
- Demonstrated experience closing and servicing complex syndicated credit facilities
- Strong understanding of credit agreements and the ability to translate legal and economic terms into accurate servicing system requirements
- Corporate finance, private credit, middle-market lending, or related loan administration experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels
- Self-starter with strong judgment, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail, strong work ethic, sense of urgency, and commitment to operational excellence
- Able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while performing computer work, phone communication, and administrative tasks
- Occasionally moves about the office to access files, supplies, meeting rooms, or other work areas
- Occasionally positions self to access shelves, organize materials, or retrieve office supplies
- Regularly operates a computer and other standard office productivity equipment (e.g., phone, printer, copier)
- Able to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and through electronic methods as required to perform essential job duties
- This is a hybrid position requiring 3-4 days per week in Monroe Capital's Chicago office
Desired Qualifications
- Experience within private credit, direct lending, middle-market lending, or commercial banking
- Experience with Wall Street Office (WSO) or similar loan servicing platforms
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience documenting procedures, improving workflows, or supporting operational transformation initiatives
