Job Summary
Senior leader to oversee Florida A&M University’s Business and Auxiliary Enterprises portfolio (Rattler Card Office, Dining Services, University Bookstore, Vending, Pouring Rights, Laundry Services, Business Center, Commercial Solicitation, Box Office). Responsibilities include building and executing a multi-year enterprise strategy, growing revenue through new concepts and partnerships, monetizing the Rattler brand via merchandising and exclusive partnerships, modernizing the service platform with digital and omnichannel capabilities, and delivering measurable ROI across the portfolio. Leads financial stewardship, capital reinvestment, and contract management for outsourced auxiliary services, while driving performance, governance, and strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Minimum qualifications require a bachelor’s degree and seven years of relevant experience with at least three in senior leadership; preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, CASP, higher education experience, data analytics fluency, and knowledge of relevant Florida statutes and procurement requirements. Competencies emphasize enterprise mindset, executive financial literacy, deal-making, digital/data fluency, executive communication, and service integrity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management, Public Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field
- Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in auxiliary services, business operations, retail, hospitality, or a comparable revenue-generating enterprise, including a minimum of three (3) years of senior leadership experience
- Demonstrated success managing multi-million-dollar budgets, outsourced service contracts, and cross-functional teams with measurable growth and service outcomes
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Hospitality, or a related field
- Certified Auxiliary Services Professional (CASP) designation or equivalent professional credential
- Fluent in data analytics, customer intelligence, and technology-enabled service platforms
- Experience launching new revenue concepts, scaling digital and e-commerce channels, negotiating complex commercial and public-private partnership agreements, and leading customer-experience transformations
