Job Summary
Lead Group Accounting policy and IFRS 9/17 implementation for the pan-Asian life and health insurance business. Maintain the Group Accounting Manual, develop new policies, and provide technical advice to business units on accounting, compliance, and governance. Prepare accounting memos, board reports, and Financial Statement disclosures while driving general ledger and finance system design. Support significant transactions including M&A, investments, and financing activities through accounting assessments and high-profile strategic projects. Collaborate with Legal, Treasury, Actuarial, and FP&A teams to deliver job responsibilities across 10 markets.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified accountant
- 12+ years practical experience
- emphasis on technical accounting related experience
- Comprehensive knowledge in insurance and investment accounting
- IFRS 9 and 17 implementation experience
- Strong analytic skills and numeric senses
- Attention to detail
