Job Summary
Lead the design of NYC-based transportation projects including highway, street, and transit infrastructure while managing small-to-mid-size project budgets and schedules. Supervise a team of civil engineers, conduct quality reviews of their deliverables, and present technical solutions to public clients such as the MTA, NYSDOT, and Port Authority of NY & NJ. Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and permitting packages, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with internal disciplines and external stakeholders. Requires a New York Professional Engineer license, 10+ years of public infrastructure experience, and proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley software.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline
- 10+ years of civil engineering experience with substantial NYC public‐infrastructure design
- Experience delivering projects for New York public agencies including but not limited to the MTA, NYSDOT, NYCDOT, NYCDDC and Port Authority of NY & NJ
- Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation, Bentley OpenRoads Designer
- Ability to manage portions of projects and maintain high‐quality deliverables
- Professional Engineer license in New York
- Prior experience mentoring engineering staff
- Prior experience presenting solutions to NYC agencies
