Job Summary
The Assistant Vice President, Civil Engineer in the Facilities team will perform site civil design including grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater management for facility projects. The role involves developing design solutions using AutoCAD Civil 3D, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting permitting and regulatory coordination. Applicants must possess a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and at least 10 years of civil engineering experience, with proficiency in several technical areas including stormwater management and site development design.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- 10 + years of relevant civil engineering experience
- Ability to perform work requiring independent judgment, adaptation, and modification of engineering principles and procedures
- Experience in one or more of the following: Land development, Municipal utility design, Water resources, Environmental engineering
- Proficiency in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrologic analysis, grading, and site development design
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing project needs
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to self-manage tasks and deliver results
- Interest in developing client relationships and understanding client needs
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Financial incentive may apply for California PE licensure
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation InRoads
- Familiarity with stormwater modeling tools such as HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, HydraFlow, or Autodesk Storm & Sanitary Analysis
- BIM coordination knowledge
- Foundation design experience
- Previous consulting engineering experience
