Job Summary
Develop training programs, monitor practices, and demonstrate skill sets for the varsity softball team from February through mid-June. Supervise equipment inventory and uniforms while performing support tasks such as maintaining attendance records. Ensure a positive environment aligned with the school's mission by communicating with families, stakeholders, and co-directors. Assist players with college recruiting and promote the program to support admissions. Contribute to broader community life beyond practice and competition venues.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 2-5 years coaching experience
- Availability to work a flexible schedule that includes some nights and weekend
- First Aid and CPR training - or have the ability to be trained
Desired Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- 2-5 years coaching experience at a High School or college is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships with students, staff, parents, alumni, and community members
- Ability to foster a positive team spirit as well as individual skill improvement
- A love for working with young people and a commitment to a diverse and inclusive community
