Job Summary
Coordinate Parker sports program and assist with coaching of the varsity girls volleyball program; teach and coach student-athletes, develop players and teams, and model Parker’s mission and values. Organizes and supervises practices and games, prepares teams for competition, promotes sportsmanship and respect for rules and officials, and balances skill development with team concepts. Provides an enjoyable environment, assists student-athletes in reaching their full potential, handles administrative responsibilities (grading checks, student-athlete records, timesheets, HR requirements), manages equipment and budgeting, and communicates effectively with athletes, parents, faculty, administrators, and the community. Requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends and may include after-school hours. Salary is seasonal/part-time at $18.75/hr. Non-discrimination policy observed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of one-year experience in coaching
- High school or collegiate athletic participation or coaching is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours to include evenings and weekends
- Physical activity requirements
- Work is typically Monday through Friday after 3 pm; weekend hours may be required
