Job Summary
Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), incorporating varied instructional techniques and technology to support diverse student learning styles. Teach core academic subjects, analyze disaggregated data to address individual academic needs, and plan assignments for instructional aides. Manage student behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct while creating a learning environment appropriate to students' maturity. Assess student progress regularly, provide required reports, and compile all necessary records and documents. Establish open communication lines with parents, colleagues, and community members, and participate in staff meetings and professional learning activities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or required training for subject/level assigned
- Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills
- Clinical teaching or approved internship
