Job Summary
Assist Unit Coordinator responsibilities by coordinating and implementing resident care per a multidisciplinary care plan, supervising resident care personnel including CNAs and trainees, orienting and guiding staff, and ensuring adherence to facility policies. Role includes reporting on residents’ conditions, coordinating care planning, supervising procedures, coordinating discharge planning with social services, and acting as liaison between residents, families, and the Nursing Department. Must be able to perform basic life support (BLS) with CPR, Heimlich, and rescue breathing. Position supports ongoing staff development, policy implementation, and coordination of care within the Nursing Department for long-term care residents.
Required Qualifications
- Current New York State Professional Nurse registration; or Licensed Practical Nurse registration
- Current CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
