Job Summary
Assistant Underwriter role based in Christchurch, New Zealand. This is an administration-focused position supporting Underwriters across Property, Motor and Liability portfolios, with potential to work independently while being part of a collaborative team. Responsibilities include providing administrative support across insurance policies (new business, mid-term adjustments, renewals, cancellations and lapses), supporting credit control, producing Certificates of Insurance, and processing policies and schedules. The role emphasizes building relationships with internal stakeholders, clear communication, and accuracy, with a flexible hybrid work arrangement (minimum three days in the office after training).
