Job Summary

Assist the Perpetual Corporate Trust Accounting team with accurate and timely accounting services for managed investment trusts and securitisation trusts. Responsibilities include preparing periodic management accounts and annual financial statements, performing account reconciliations and journal postings, assisting with trust distributions, preparing BAS returns, coordinating audits and tax lodgement (including AIIR and PAYGW) with tax agents, handling payment directions, answering accounting inquiries, maintaining client relationships, and liaising with Trustee/Trust Manager/Investment Manager. The role requires a degree in accounting/economics/finance (major in accounting) and pursuing CA or CPA accreditation, with at least 18 months chartered accounting experience. Proficiency in Word/Excel, and hands-on experience with accounting systems such as XERO, is preferred. Proactive, collaborative team player who can contribute to Perpetual’s culture and growth in a flexible work arrangement within Australia.

Required Qualifications

  • A degree in accounting, economics, or finance, with a major in accounting
  • Currently undertaking CA or CPA accreditation
  • At least 18 months experience working in a chartered accounting firm or Big4 environment
