Job Summary
Assist Transportation Supervisor in daily operations of the Transportation Department, covering routes for absent bus drivers, assigning drives by seniority, scheduling and communicating with drivers and district staff, maintaining attendance and trip records, relaying information about road conditions, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local transportation regulations. Will handle communications with parents and staff, maintain bus binders and pre-trip inspection sheets, and assist with scheduling Special Education and ESY transportation; participate in required safety training and privacy regulations (HIPAA). Proficient use of Transfinder software and ability to coordinate nominations for driver coverage, fielding transportation needs, and maintaining professional relationships with stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Drivers License with passenger and S endorsement
- Demonstrated driving experience
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Knowledge of Transfinder software
