Assistant to Special Needs - Plano Campus

Job Summary
Provide administrative assistance including scheduling appointments, answering telephones, ordering office supplies, and other administrative duties for the Special Needs Ministry. Respond to requests from leadership, teachers, members, and prospects while composing and distributing correspondence. Coordinate ministry events, organize LifeGroup resources, and assist with volunteer screening, background list maintenance, and training material preparation. Serve alongside Special Needs staff and assist with baptism scheduling. Maintain files and perform physical activities requiring lifting up to 50 pounds. Work a varied schedule Monday through Friday with occasional Sunday and Wednesday night availability.
Required Qualifications
- Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of PBC
- Have a joyful passion for Disability Ministry
- Experience in an administrative role
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Team player
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work a varied schedule, generally Monday – Friday with occasional Sundays and Wednesday nights as needed
- Continuous use of computer and phone
- Able to perform physical activities that require moving one's whole body, such as walking, stooping, lifting, pushing/pulling a cart, and use of stairs and be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance
