Job Summary
Assistant Tennis Professional assists in professionals’ group lessons, junior tennis programs and camps; may provide hitting sessions or play as a hitter in a lesson with a professional. Responsibilities include teaching group and private tennis lessons as applicable, interacting with members and guests per Village Standards, promoting programs, mixers, tournaments, round robins and other social competitive events, and providing hitting sessions for members or participating as a hitter in a professional’s lesson. Required skills include strong competitive tennis ability (ideally college level), ability to feed balls and provide basic instruction, customer service mindset, with CPR certification within 30 days of hire and successful background check. Preferred experience includes tennis club environment and experience teaching tennis; collegiate playing experience.
Required Qualifications
- CPR certification within 30 days of hire
- Must pass a background check
- High level of competitive tennis playing, ideally at a college level
