Job Summary
Conduct tennis and pickleball coaching for junior classes, private lessons, camps, and match play. Plan and run events, organize mixers and round robins, and instruct adult drills. Manage racquet operations including re-stringing, repairs, and facility upkeep. Perform weekly walkthroughs to identify repairs and maintain an organized office. Hourly rate of $14.42 plus commissions for court time and stringing. Requires 2–3 years of coaching experience, USPTA/USPTR certification preferred, and knowledge of Microsoft Office. Required Qualifications
- At least 2 to 3 years of coaching in the tennis/pickleball industry
- Experience coaching all junior and adults, in private and group setting
- Knowledge of Microsoft office
- Ability to stand and/or walk during entire shift
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information
- Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs
- Must be able to understand and apply complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives
- Must be able to effectively handle problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
- Must maintain regular attendance in compliance with Troon Standards
- Must maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Must be able to maintain a warm and friendly demeanor
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner

- Must be able to effectively do weekly walkthroughs with the team to ensure Director of Tennis of all repairs that need to be achieved
- Must be able to effectively help maintain an organized office
- Must be able to effectively maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions
- Must be able to effectively perform other duties as requested by management
- Must be able to effectively attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
- Must be able to effectively comply with Troon Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
Desired Qualifications
- High level High School/College playing experience preferred
- USPTA or USPTR preferred
- College degree is preferred
