Job Summary
Lead groups of ages 5–10 in after-school tennis programs and assist the lead coach in teaching and overall program management. Transport tennis equipment to and from class, set up the tennis equipment, and take attendance and sign in and sign out students for each class. Attend a two-day training/shadowing session to familiarize yourself with the program. Classes are 1–1.5 hours in length, starting between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., with a maximum of 2–5 hours per week on weekdays and weekends. Candidates must be 19+ years old, live in the Bay Area, and have reliable transportation throughout the East and South Bay and Peninsula.
Required Qualifications
- At least High school or equivalent
- Must be 19+ years old upon application
- Enjoy working with kids and can manage a class in a professional manner
- Flexible, reliable, punctual, professional, and has an enthusiastic approach
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Resilient, positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and within a small team
- Have reliable transportation throughout the East and South Bay and Peninsula
- Willingness to undergo a live scan background check prior to working
- Candidates need to be local to the US or already have a necessary working VISA
- Must complete sending photo and short biography to upload in our website and introduce your experience in sports
- Willingness to support the lead coach in the teaching and management of the tennis program
- Classes are 1 - 1.5 hours in length
- Start times for classes can vary between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., depending on the school
- Flexible schedule, working two or more days per week from Monday through Friday
- A maximum of 2-5 hours per week
- Programs are in multiple cities across the bay area and candidates must be readily available and living in the Bay Area
Desired Qualifications
- Previous teaching or playing experience in tennis
- USPTA/PTR certification
