Job Summary
Teach tennis classes for elementary students (Grades K–5) using provided lesson plans, managing groups of 8–16 learners in a fun, energetic environment. Handle class attendance, student sign-ins, and parent/school staff interactions while capturing documentation photos. Complete a 2-day training or shadowing session prior to starting. Work Monday through Friday from 1:00 to 5:00 PM, with some weekend options available, typically teaching one hour per day plus optional pre-care. All equipment is provided; candidates must have reliable transportation and valid work permits. Applicants must be at least 19 years old, fully vaccinated, and willing to undergo background checks.
Required Qualifications
- At least High School or equivalent
- Must be at least 19 years old
- Must have reliable transportation around the East Bay and Peninsula
- Must be fully vaccinated and willing to undergo a TB test and Live Scan background check before starting work
- Must have valid work permit to work in USA
- Must currently live locally and be available for in-person work
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Previous tennis teaching or playing experience
- USPTA/PTR certification
- Enjoy working with kids; patient, enthusiastic, and reliable
- Good communication and class management skills
