Job Summary
As an entry-level NDT Assistant, you will support certified technicians in performing nondestructive testing services across various client sites. Key responsibilities include assisting in inspections, preparing materials, enforcing safety practices, maintaining equipment, and completing necessary documentation. Required skills include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and a strong work ethic focused on safety. Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and maneuver in various environments is necessary.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening background check
- Must be able to obtain TWIC, DISA, and/or other site access credentials
- Willingness to travel and work in various environments typically found in Oil and Gas, Nuclear, Power, Municipality, Aerospace, and other type settings
- Willingness and ability to work extended shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules as required
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various environmental conditions
- Strong work ethic with a safety-first mindset
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in NDT, construction, or industrial environments
- Familiarity with basic NDT methods and terminology
- Current TWIC, OSHA 10/30, or other industry-standard safety certifications
- Basic mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools/equipment
