Job Summary
Assist the Head Ski Coach with all operational duties, including snow training sessions, daily conditioning, and athlete equipment maintenance. Provide tuning guidance, video and timing assistance, and support travel logistics while ensuring student athlete safety. Monitor inventory, manage team budgets, and aid in recruiting strategies and program evaluations. Drive high occupancy vehicles for team transportation and adhere to NCAA/USSA/FIS compliance rules. Work part-time from October through March, reporting to the Ski Team Head Coach.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree and one-year related work experience
- Two year college certificate, and two years related work experience
- High School Degree/GED and three years of related experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Colorado driver's license
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship
- Successful completion of a background check including a motor vehicles records report
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with regional and national alpine competition
- Knowledge of NCAA/USSA/FIS rules and compliance
- Strong team building and communication skills
- Knowledge of outdoor athletic team sports management
- Knowledge of snow skiing principles, modern ski racing tactics and techniques, practices and methods
- Knowledge of ski and mountain equipment, safety and rescue systems procedures
- Knowledge of team-building and facilitation
- Knowledge of marketing and sales methods
- Knowledge of budget administration P-Card reconciliation and logistics management
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) or conversational language abilities
