Assistant Team Lead - Corrosion Service Team

Job Summary

Inspect, assess, and service military equipment using paper or electronic checklists while applying corrosion prevention compounds and conducting surface preparation. Operate CPC application equipment including compressors, guns, and grinders, and perform routine maintenance on tools. Manage CPAC program policies, procedures, and team training schedules, ensuring all personnel utilize appropriate PPE and comply with safety standards. Conduct monthly inventory of accountable items and submit all reporting requirements on time. Travel as required to perform duties across various locations.

Required Qualifications

  • Hold or be capable of passing a background check to receive identification credentials through the Defense Biometric Identification System.
  • Hold or be capable of obtaining a Secret clearance prior to being granted access to classified information up to the level of Secret.
  • Must have a US Passport, Real ID, or a driver's license and social security card/original-notarized birth certificate (this is for base access).
  • Possess knowledge of mechanical systems.
  • Ability to take directions and perform corrective action plans.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate tasks.
  • Able to understand/follow instructions and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work well on a team.
  • Pay strict attention to detail.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Possess a valid state driver's license.
  • During short-durations, CST ATLs are required to lift to 50 pounds safely.
  • During moderate-durations, CST ATLs are required to mount and dismount military and support equipment of varying heights safely.
  • During long-durations, CST ATLs are required to work in outdoor weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, etc.).
  • During long-durations, CST ATLs are required to wear and use company provided personal protective equipment (PPE), which includes but is not limited to: safety goggles, hand protection, and respirator equipment, etc.
  • On a given day, CST ATLs are required to wear either a dust mask or fitted respirator (depending upon the task performed) to apply Corrosion Preventive Compounds (CPCs) and/or Surface Preparation and Touch-Up Paint.
  • The employer will ensure CST ATLs undergo an annual OSHA 1910.134 App A Quantitative Respirator Fit Test.
  • High School diploma or equivalent, and/or a vocational degree.
  • Possess two years of experience related to CPAC Programs and have documented experience in Corrosion Service Team operations or be approved by the COR.
  • CST ATLs are required to successfully complete annual CPAC recertification.
  • Travel as required to perform the duties of the position.
