Job Summary
Teaching acting, acting for the camera, and industry-centered courses to Ball State University’s BFA acting and musical theatre students; mentoring and coaching upper-level students for showcases and auditions; directing/coaching departmental productions; collaborating with the Media department and Heartland Film Festival; contributing to curriculum development, recruitment, and student success across campus; and fulfilling committee and service obligations while advancing inclusive pedagogies and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in performance or equivalent professional experience completed by date of employment
- Ability to teach all levels of acting, acting for the camera, and industry-centered courses for acting and musical theatre students
- University/college-level teaching experience
- Ability to serve as an artist for production work when needed
- Current authorization to be employed in the United States without employer sponsorship
