Job Summary
Assistant Teacher at YWCA Lancaster (full-time, Monday–Friday, 9:30am–5:30pm) responsible for caring for children within the YWCA Lancaster Child Care guidelines, preparing a nurturing environment, maintaining appropriate interactions with children, parents, and staff, promoting positive classroom climate, collaborating with the Center Director and staff, ensuring program quality per Keystone Stars and DPW regulations, enforcing center policies with families, adapting to staffing needs, assisting in assigned classrooms, covering breaks and staff absences, maintaining child ratios, and performing additional duties as assigned. Must uphold the YWCA mission of eliminating racism and empowering women; requirements include a High School diploma or GED, 2,500 childcare hours, ability to lift 45 lbs, and 12 hours of annual training. Advocates for Early Childhood Education in Pennsylvania and participates in mission-related activities.
Required Qualifications

- Attend a minimum of 12 hours of training per year
