Job Summary
Ensure the well-being and development of infant, toddler, and preschool-aged children while supporting progressive inquiry-based learning in the classroom. Engage with children using positive language, loving care, and interactive play, and closely supervise them while adhering to robust health and safety protocols. Perform the duties of the Head Teacher during their absence. This role involves working with children aged 0-5 at Vivvi's new campus in Elon, NC, fostering a sense of community through trusting relationships with families and colleagues.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of professional experience working with children aged 0-5
- Hold a Child Development Associate (CDA)
- Hold NC Child Development Credentials I and II
- Are a flexible & communicative team player
- Are a dependable, positive, and flexible team player
- Have a strong foundation in child development
- Are passionate about working with the youngest learners
- Value and create trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Must be able to lift children weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods
- Must be able to bend at the waist
- Must be able to reach overhead
- Must be able to frequently move children
Desired Qualifications
- Associates in ECE preferred
