Job Summary
Assistant Teacher to join our team at our Watkinsville, Athens, and Bogart locations. Responsibilities include supporting the Lead Teacher with lessons using Frog Street curriculum, caregiving tasks (diapering, toileting, meals), maintaining a clean and engaging classroom, assisting with classroom management, supervising children during all activities, building relationships with students and families, and ensuring compliance with state licensing and school policies. Qualifications include GED or High School Diploma, 6 months licensed childcare experience (or strong desire to learn), CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain), and ability to lift up to 40 lbs. This is an entry-level, in-person role with a Monday-Friday schedule and pay ranging from $14.00-$20.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- CDA, TCC, or experience working toward an early childhood education credential preferred
- GED or High School Diploma required
- At least 6 months of experience in a licensed childcare setting (or strong desire to learn)
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must pass all required background checks and meet DECAL requirements
- A team-player attitude with a love for working with children
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stay actively engaged throughout the day
