Job Summary
Orchestrate a stimulating, welcoming classroom space where infants, toddlers, and preschoolers can play, learn, and grow. Implement the proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, adapting instruction to individual child needs while prioritizing a safe, nurturing environment. Collaborate with center staff to drive retention and enrollment goals, and maintain warm relationships with families by regularly updating parents on progress and milestones. Ensure children's everyday needs are met through activities like diapering, feeding, and grooming, while modeling strong social skills and conflict resolution. Work extended periods standing, lifting up to 40 pounds, and supervise children indoors and outdoors across varying temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- At least 18 years of age
- Meet state-specific guidelines for the role
- Immunizations
- Employment physicals
- Required health and safety training
- Demonstrates full range of motion to stand and walk for extended periods of time without significant discomfort
- Safely lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds
- Reach, stretch with hands and arms
- Climb or balance
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Use a stool or ladder to reach high places as necessary
- Ability to supervise by sight and sound
- Work in temperatures ranging from 20°F with wind chill to 95°F
- Maintain mental and physical alertness and an appropriate level of energy to perform essential job functions
